zucchini-potato gratin

 my latest self-creation is this variation of a potatogratin! the special taste of zuccini is a wonderful fresher supplement. For this size i needed 5 medium potatos and 2 small zuccinis.
first i peeled the potatoes and than i cut all in very small pieces with an extra mashine - also possible with a knife but that needs more time. Than i greased the form with olive-oil and stack the two ingredients alternately. At the same time a started my oven with 200°. 
For the sauce i took: 350 ml cream, 150 ml milk, olive-oil, garlic, half a hand parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, lohr beer leaves, rosemary and very important - nutmeg (but not too much). first heat the oil with the garlic, deglaze with a little white wine, than take the cream and the milk to it and flavor it with the rest as you like it. Bring it to the boil and than simmer for about 5 minutes before you give it over the potatoes and zuccinis. 
Put all in the hot oven for about 40-45 min and than enyoj maybe with some fresh salad or meet.

Rainbow

hey guys look what i´ve seen yesterday - the brightest and most colorful rainbow direct in front of our home - it was a double rainbow and although we scientifically know what it is and how it comes to it it is always a magic feeling in the air and it seems as magic when you see this colourful perfect half-circle in the sky which seems as if some painted the sky put it´s acutally only nature who is creating such wonderful moments. Thats something that is really important to me that life doesn´t loose it´s magic with all these scientific explanation to everyting we see and feel.

Selfmade heartcake

the recipe starts with the same dough as for the cream puffs or eclairs and is filled with vanilla cream and rasberries - you can vary the berries or the cream - whatever you like or whatever he/she likes you bake for... :)

Strawberry ice-cream

 tried a new recipe from my new ice-cream cookbook: this is the fantastic strwaberry ice-cream!! Almost sooo tasty and wonderful in summer!! the tast of strawberry is very intens and its creamy and super delicous - promise! for everyone who loves ice-cream/ and strawberries - you must try this new recipe out... no worries it´s easy!
You need for 6 a 50g:
 200g fresh Strwaberries - 3 tablespoon powdered sugar - 150g mascarpone
wash the strawberries, than dry and remove the green and than mix all and fill it in cups for exapmle for espresso,yogurt, muffins... a 50g and put in the freezer for 4 hours. after one hour stir everything well and maybe after another hour again and than put spoon or chopsticks in it.
so fresh, so cool, so summer :)

Lemon ice-cream

the result of my new buying ( cook - books ) is here: selfmade lemon ice made without ice-mashine and also possible with lime.
recipe for 6 portions a 50g:
2-3 lemons (one bio) - 70g sugar - 180g cream 
first rub off the peel of the bio lemon than squeeze 70ml lemon juice and cook the juice with the sugar 5 minutes after it boiled once on a low level  > than it needs to cool down. 
than beat the cream and mix it with the lemon peel. Mix all when die juice is cold and fill it in cups or ice molds or muffin container and freeze it for 3 hours. after the first hour 1 time stir everything and after another take spoons,chopstick or whatever you like into the ice cream and freeze it for the rest of the time. before eating put it under hot water to take it out of the cup and enjoy

Éclairs

My latest recipe i tryied and i LOOOOVED is this one: éclaires with vanilla pudding cream and shocolate topping.
Therefore you need a dough like for cream puffs - a choux. http://maikefr.blogspot.de/2013/07/cream-puff.html
than you make a vanilla pudding cream if you like make it as finished product that you just have to mix with milk/cream or you make cream sweet with vanilla sugar. The same procedure with the topping. Than put it in the fridge for a few hours so that the dough gets soft and enjoy.

the secret garden

Today i had free and it was a hot summer day - perfect to relaxe in our garden with some magazines, food and drinks. The day started good for me because my sweety invited me to go eating out for breakfast in a nice restaurant - that was i nice little suprise and i´m happy to have a boyfriend like him - always a gentelman and alert. Love you sweety <3.
 By more than 30° degrees it is the best place to be because there is some wind and shadow. 
I haven´t told you yet but i work at the post since two weeks for 2-3 month to finance my world trip i planed with my better half - my boyfriend. And its sometimes hard because the temperatures are little bit too high and for example yesterday i worked 10 hours and 45 minutes with only 15 minutes break.
Thats why i needed to reward myself today - i buyed two new lovely cookbooks! You need to now i loooooooooooooooove cookbooks so much because of the nice photos i like to watch and because i like food and cooking! :) suitable to the weather i buyed two icecream books with recipes without need of a ice cream machine so perfect if you like ice cream but don´t want to buy a machine only to try doing it by yourself!
It was a very relaxing day and i´m happy with my new books and i hope you had a nice day too and maybe enjoy your summer holidays or something...
 for a fresh kick i did lime into the water.


and because i´m always hungry i make a picinic with fresh fruits and potato.
